Who is a Soroptimist?
Soroptimist is a worldwide organization for women in management and professions working through service projects to advance human rights and status for women.

What is Soroptimist International?
Soroptimist International of the Americas was founded on October 3, 1921 in Oakland, California. On that date, 80 working women joined together to "foster the ideal of service". Today, Soroptimist has grown to be the world's largest classified service organization for women with over 100,000 members in 120 countries around the world.

Soroptimist Aims:

To maintain high ethical standards in business and professional life.
To strive for human rights for all people and in particular, to advance the status of women.
To quicken the spirit of service and human understanding.
